Sharon Anderson

Sharon Anderson is a native of King William Virginia. She attended King William Public Schools and went on to study music at VCU. She’s served as a church musician for the last 30 years for various churches. Sharon is COO of BGA School of Music.
Branden Anderson BGA Voice, Piano, and Music Industry 101 Teacher

Branden Anderson is a native of Richmond VA. He attended Henrico County Public Schools and graduated from Henrico High School in 1999. He furthered his education at Elizabeth City State University where he received his Bachelor of Music degree in 2003. Branden was the first music major to graduate from the university’s honors program. He is founder and member of national recording artist G.I. He has performed nationally and internationally. Branden is founder and CEO of BGA School of Music. He teaches piano, voice, and Music Industry 101.
Grant Bauley BGA Drum Teacher

Grant is currently a Richmond, VA based musician & educator. A graduate of the VCU School of the Arts, he has shared the stage with world class performers, had his work broadcast on national television, and maintained a private teaching studio for over 10 years, with experience in music tech, guitar, piano, and percussion instruction. An avid record collector, he has regularly deejayed private & professional functions for the last decade. His most recent work has been with psych-rock band Avers, Beltway Recording Company, and creating custom compositions for the Web, TV & Film.
Rufus Johnson BGA Voice and Piano Teacher

Rufus Johnson is an accomplished singer, songwriter, teacher and sound engineer from Richmond, Va. He is a graduate of Fayetteville State University with a degree in Music Education and has been a Music Educator in the public school system for 16 years. He is 1/3 of the Stellar Award nominated group “G.I.” and serves as Worship Leader at Speaking Spirit Ministries in Richmond.
Edward Sanders, Jr. BGA Piano and Music Production Teacher

Edward Sanders, Jr. is a military brat who had become a world traveler by the age of seven. Living in Fort Jackson, South Carolina, Ansbach Germany, Los Angeles, CA and many other locations. He attended Chesterfield County Public Schools and graduated from Manchester High School in 2005. In 2006 he moved to Los Angeles to attend the Los Angeles Recording School (LARS), where he studied Audio Engineering and Post- Production and graduated to receive a Certificate of Audio Engineering. In Fall 2015, he graduated from the Los Angeles City College Music Academy, Applied Music Program; where he was a four-time recipient of the Herb Alpert Scholarship between 2014 and 2016 studying jazz piano performance. He is Founder and CEO of SoulCre8ive Productions (www.SoulCre8ive.com), a music production company specializing in music production, composition, and remixing for Artist, Record Labels, Film & TV, Clothing Brands, Fashion Shows, and Video Games. At BGA School Of Music, Edward teaches Piano and Music Production.
Jonathan Van Nest BGA Guitar, Piano, and Audio Engineering/Recording Teacher

Jonathan Van Nest, a Virginia native, began working with BGA School of Music in 2010 when it first opened. A graduate of Shenandoah University, he majored in music production and recording technology, minored in physics and advanced acoustics, and studied many aspects of music including theory, arranging, instrumentation and performance. His principal instruments are guitar, electric bass, and piano, when he is not teaching with BGA School of Music he is actively working as a professional musician, producer and audio engineer.
